What Came First, The Chicken or The Egg?

So, you’ve decided that you want to change your life. You want to get healthy, eat better and workout. The only problem is where on earth to start…?

There are so many diets and fitness programs out there that it can all seem so overwhelming. You’ve likely tried fad diets and workouts. Maybe you got some results, but at the end of the day they weren’t sustainable.

That is the key to making all of this stick. I’m sure you’re thinking yeah, I’ve hear all this before, but how.

Well, I’m going to tell you, the answer is to not do what I do. I tend to be an all or nothing type of person. I decided I was going to try to eat less meat and do meatless Mondays to start. 3 days later I was Vegan for 6 months. This is NOT a good way to go about things. Instead, take little steps.

Assess your life. Figure out what changes you can make. Cut out the soda, switch to whole wheat bread, eat veggies instead of chips. Make small but mindful steps.

In my honest opinion, if you’ve got a lot of weight to lose, or you’ve just generally got a bad diet and are unhealthy, I would start with the nutrition.

Tracking calories and macros for a FEW days is good, just to get an idea of where you are and then start making changes. Once you’ve done this and been able to sustain this for a few weeks, then add in the workouts.

I love Beachbody because they have the 2BMindset program which helps educate you on how to change and make better nutrition choices, plus it has over 700 workouts all different lengths, as well as having modifications. But, sometimes you just can financially swing a program like that, and that’s okay!

There are so many Youtube videos out there that are a great place to start. It’s where I got my start. You don’t need a gym membership, you don’t need a trainer. I promise that you can do it at home! I certainly did.

If you want help, need advice, support, or to learn more about Beachbody message me. I am here for you no matter where you are on your journey. We all have to stick together, lift each other up, support each other, and share our knowledge and experiences.
